Google Pixel • Connections • 5–15 minutes

No calls, texts, or phone signal — Google Pixel

Safety firstIf only this Pixel has no signal and the carrier says the line is active, contact the carrier before resetting or erasing anything.
If you need an urgent call and this Pixel cannot connect, use another phone instead of continuing.
  1. Check for an Android update

Open Settings > System > Software updates > System update, then tap Check for update. Follow the on-screen steps if one is available.

  2. Refresh the signal

Open Settings > Network & internet and turn Airplane mode on. Wait 15 seconds, then turn it off.

  3. Make sure the SIM is on

Open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs. Tap your carrier and turn on Use SIM. Do not erase an eSIM.

  4. Make sure roaming is on

Roaming lets the Pixel use a partner network when your carrier’s own signal is unavailable. Open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > your carrier, then turn on Roaming. Your carrier may charge for roaming outside your plan, especially internationally.

  5. Choose the network automatically

Open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > your carrier, then turn on Automatically select network.

  6. Restart the Pixel

Hold Power and Volume Up, then tap Restart.
