Phone will not turn on — Google Pixel

Safety firstIf the Pixel shows nothing after 20 minutes on a known-good charger and the forced restart, contact Google Pixel Support or a trusted repair shop.
Start with a USB-C charger that works with your Pixel. A fully empty battery may stay dark for several minutes.

  1. Check for danger

    Do not charge the Pixel if it is swollen, wet, bent, cracked near the battery, or too hot to touch.

  2. Use a known-good charger

    Connect the Pixel directly to a working wall outlet with a USB-C cable and power adapter that charge another device. Leave it connected for 20 minutes.

  3. Force restart the Pixel

    Hold the Power button for up to 30 seconds. Release it when the Google logo appears.

  4. Check whether only the screen failed

    Call the Pixel from another phone. If it rings or vibrates while the screen stays black, the display may need repair.
