Battery runs down too fast — Google Pixel

Safety firstGet help if the Pixel swells, overheats while sitting still, or the battery percentage suddenly drops by large amounts.
Use the Battery usage page to see what changed before assuming the battery is worn out.
  1. Check for an Android update

Open Settings > System > Software updates > System update, then tap Check for update. Follow the on-screen steps if one is available.

  2. Find the biggest battery user

Open Settings > Battery > Battery usage. Tap an app with unusually high use, then choose Optimized unless the app must run constantly.

  3. Turn on Adaptive Battery

Open Settings > Battery > Battery Saver > Adaptive Battery, then turn on Use Adaptive Battery.

  4. Reduce screen use

Open Settings > Display & touch > Screen timeout and choose 30 seconds or 1 minute. Return to Display & touch and lower Brightness level.

  5. Use Battery Saver when needed

Open Settings > Battery > Battery Saver, then turn on Use Battery Saver.
