Reset your Apple ID password — Apple iPhone

Scam warningApple will NEVER call, text, or email asking for your password or verification code. Anyone who does is a scammer.

NEVER tell anyone the 6-digit code Apple sends you—not even someone claiming to be Apple Support.

Only reset your password with the steps below or by typing iforgot.apple.com into Safari yourself. Never tap password-reset links in texts or emails.
If you are signed out and cannot get in, tap “Forgot password?” on the sign-in screen. Or open Safari, type iforgot.apple.com yourself, enter your Apple ID email, and follow the steps. Apple may send a code to your trusted phone number—enter it on the screen and never read it to anyone.
