How to connect Bluetooth — Apple iPhone
Check for a software update
Go to Settings, then General, then Software Update. If one is available, install it first.
Turn on Bluetooth:
Go to Settings, then Bluetooth, and turn the toggle on (green). Or swipe down from the top right and tap the Bluetooth icon so it turns blue.
Put your accessory in pairing mode
This varies by device: usually press and hold the power or pairing button until a light blinks. For a car, go to the car's Bluetooth menu and choose Pair or Add device. Your phone can only find devices that are in pairing mode.
On the iPhone, under Other Devices, tap the name of your accessory when it appears
If asked for a PIN, try 0000 or 1234, or check the accessory's manual.
Confirm it's connected:
The accessory moves to My Devices and says Connected. Test it by playing music or making a call.
If it doesn't appear:
Move closer, make sure the accessory isn't already connected to another phone, turn the accessory off and back on into pairing mode, and turn iPhone Bluetooth off and on again. If it still won't connect, use the "Bluetooth will not connect" guide.
