Phone will not turn on — Samsung Galaxy

Safety firstIf the Galaxy shows nothing after 20 minutes on a known-good charger and the forced restart, contact Samsung Support or a trusted repair shop.
Start with a USB-C charger that works with your Galaxy. A fully empty battery may stay dark for several minutes.

  1. Check for danger

    Do not charge the Galaxy if it is swollen, wet, bent, cracked near the battery, or too hot to touch.

  2. Use a known-good charger

    Connect the Galaxy directly to a working wall outlet with a USB-C cable and power adapter that charge another device. Leave it connected for 20 minutes.

  3. Force restart the Galaxy

    Hold the Side button and Volume Down together for 7–10 seconds. Release both when the Samsung logo appears.

  4. Check whether only the screen failed

    Call the Galaxy from another phone. If it rings or vibrates while the screen stays black, the display may need repair.
