Bluetooth device will not connect — Samsung Galaxy

Safety firstFor a car, hearing device, watch, or medical device, follow that device’s instructions before resetting Bluetooth settings.
A Bluetooth device may connect to only one phone or computer at a time. Disconnect it from nearby devices first.

  1. Check for a software update

    Open Settings > Software update > Download and install. Follow the on-screen steps if one is available.

  2. Open Bluetooth settings

    Open Settings > Connections > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth on.

  3. Put the other device in pairing mode

    Use the headphones, car, watch, or speaker button until its light shows it is ready to pair.

  4. Remove the old connection

    In Settings > Connections > Bluetooth, tap the gear beside the device, then tap Unpair.

  5. Pair it again

    Under Available devices, tap the device name and complete any code shown.

  6. Restart the Galaxy if it stays missing

    Hold the Side button and Volume Down, then tap Restart.
