Phone is slow or stuck — Google Pixel

Safety firstBack up important information before any reset. If the Pixel freezes after every restart, contact Google or a repair shop.
A Pixel with almost no free space can become slow, fail to update, and close apps.

  1. Choose the right first step

    If the Pixel is completely frozen, hold the Power button for up to 30 seconds and release it when the Google logo appears. If it still responds but is slow, open Settings > System > Software updates > System update, tap Check for update, and install an available update first.

  2. Check exact free space

    Open Settings > Storage. Tap Apps, Images, Videos, or Documents & other to see what is using space.

  3. Remove a recent problem app

    Open Settings > Apps > See all apps. Tap the app added just before the trouble, then tap Uninstall > OK.
