Safety firstGet help if the iPhone swells, overheats while sitting still, or the battery percentage suddenly drops by large amounts.

Open Settings > General > Software Update. If an update is available, tap Update Now and follow the on-screen steps.

  2. Find the biggest battery user

  3. Check battery health

Open Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging. Read Maximum Capacity and any service message.

  4. Reduce screen use

Open Settings > Display & Brightness. Lower Brightness, then tap Auto-Lock and choose 30 Seconds or 1 Minute.

  5. Use Low Power Mode when needed

Open Settings > Battery and turn on Low Power Mode.
